Baseball team hopes for solid finish

The Lakeland baseball team put an end to a seven-game losing streak by defeating Northern Athletics Conference power Aurora in the second game of a doubleheader at Aurora on Saturday afternoon.

Lineup change benefits Muskies

The Lakeland men's tennis team has responded to a lineup change with wins in two of its three matches since the change. The Muskies are 3-2 in Northern Athletics Conference play, and head coach Doron Green said he thinks his new lineup could finish with a 5-3 record this season.

Softball rolls into record book

Muskies enjoy winning ways
Despite the weather not being the most cooperative this spring, the Lakeland softball team has still risen to the occasion during its record breaking 19-game winning streak. According to the archives, the old record was 15 consecutive wins in 1994, when current athletics director Jane Bouche was the head softball coach.

Muskies celebrate with banquet tonight

The Lakeland athletic department will hold an athletic banquet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Wehr Center Field House to celebrate all the accomplishments of Lakeland teams this past season.

Another top five finish for Muskies

Volleyball team third in nation
Lakeland head men's volleyball coach Chad Schreiber never wants to admit that he's satisfied when his team doesn't finish first, but he says he is happy with the results of this season. Lakeland finished tied for third in the final national poll of the season after losing in the national semifinals to Fresno St.
