Oct. elections bring high hopes for future of SA

As a new semester approaches, Lakeland College's student body has gained a fresh voice. The results of the elections held Oct. 12, 13, and 14 ushered in four students to executive board positions of Student Association.
The four new executive board members are Sarina Wiesner (president), Christina Neumaier (vice president), Ben Bechle (secretary), and Pratikshya Bhandari (treasurer).

Chills, fever, cough, sore throat: are all symptoms of a common cold and seasonal flu, but these are also the symptoms of the H1N1 flu, also known as swine flu.
H1N1 flu is different from typical seasonal flu. This influenza pandemic is causing illness worldwide.

It is fall in Wisconsin, which means one thing to nearly 650,000 people in the Badger state - deer season is almost here.
GLRACS informs students

Over Fall Break, Associate Professor of Science Jeffery Schwehm and several Lakeland students attended the Great Lakes Regional American Chemical Society in Iowa City. Along with Schwehm, Grace Jairo, Dale Wieselman, and Manyng Szetu also attended.
Schwehm visited lectures on chemistry education, while Jairo and Wieselman took interest in attending medicinal chemistry presentations.
