The Lakeland men's tennis team has responded to a lineup change with wins in two of its three matches since the change.

The Muskies are 3-2 in Northern Athletics Conference play, and head coach Doron Green said he thinks his new lineup could finish with a 5-3 record this season.

Junior Dartanian Taylor was moved from No. 4 to No. 2 singles, sophomore Tom Kuehl was moved up from No. 3 doubles to No. 1 with junior Andre Glass, Green paired senior Carlos Milan and junior Yuki Shiono at No. 3 doubles and freshman Danny Spatchek was added to the lineup at No. 6 singles.
Since the changes, Lakeland beat Marian 8-1 and topped Dominican 6-3.

"Dartanian brings more power and more consistency to No. 2," Green said.
"Tom is a very strong server and good at volleying, those are the strengths of his game, and that is what's important in doubles. At No. 3, it added a whole lot more consistency and experience when we put Carlos and Yuki together."

Green has high hopes that the Muskies can beat both Rockford and Aurora this Friday and Saturday to head into the conference tournament on May 2 and 3 with momentum.
